FROM MEADOW PARK TO THE USA

Boreham Wood are delighted to announce that PASE students Charlie Hunter and Dan Loveday have accepted their scholarship offers from Universities in the United States to play ‘Soccer’ whilst doing a degree.

Both Charlie and Dan follow in the footsteps of former BWFC PASE Captain and First Team Playoff winner Jon Clements, who won a similar scholarship to Fairfield University in Connecticut in 2010.

Charlie has won a 100% all expenses paid scholarship to The American University of Washington in D.C. which academically would of cost him in the region of $60,000 per year. He take a degree in Business at American University’s highly credited Business School, which is recognised as a top 20 Business School in the United States and will be moving to Washington D.C. in July for four years.

While 3rd year PASE student Dan Loveday has also won a scholarship to America, but he will be moving to the warmer climates of Santa Barbara in California, where he will also be looking to take a degree in Business

Both of these young players have represented Wood’s First Team in this seasons campaign, which again shows the success of the club’s acclaimed PASE Scheme at Boreham Wood.

Everyone at Boreham Wood congratulates the boys on their achievement and wishes them all the success with their futures State side.
