HARRY HICKFORD

Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce the signing of defender Harry Hickford on a short term loan from MK Dons.

Harry will initially join us up to and including the 20th December and will go straight into Saturday’s squad against Gosport. He will also be eligible to play in both our FA Trophy game away at Concord next Saturday and away at Hertford in the Herts Senior Cup the following week.

The central defender was given his first professional deal by Dons boss Karl Robinson after impressing for the MK Dons Academy and development sides. He is also no stranger to Conference South football having appeared on loan for Chelmsford City regularly towards the back end of last season.

To date Harry has appeared on the bench twice for the MK Dons first team but has yet to make an appearance. On the defenders arrival, Wood manager Ian Allinson Said “we have a busy period of games coming up and I want us to remain strong, while having options in all areas. I spoke to the Chairman about my concerns and he has agreed to finance the loan. Harry trained well last night, he is tenacious, hungry to do well and is well thought of by his parent club. When he gets his chance to impress me, then he has to take it, he must learn from the senior players around him and above all enjoy the experience and his time with us”.

Welcome Harry from us all at Boreham Wood.
