SUPPORT THE WOOD THIS NON-LEAGUE DAY

6 October 2017

As a thank you to Arsenal, Watford and Barnet for promoting us this non-league day, all season ticket holders from the above sides, will receive a reduced £10 entry into tomorrow’s match against Halifax.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 7, is National Non-League day, an annual event in which the country celebrates, and encourages non-league football.

The day coincides with the International break, which allows supporters of Premier League and Championship sides to experience, local, non-league football.

Boreham Wood Football Club will be running a number of initiatives on the day, of which have been promoted by Arsenal, Watford and Barnet.

Neither Arsenal, nor Watford will be playing on Saturday, and Barnet’s home match against Coventry City, is an early kick off (12.30pm).

So, as a thank you for the amazing support provided by these clubs, Boreham Wood will be encouraging supporters of all three sides to come down and support Non-League day by offering a discounted £10 entry for all season ticket holders.

Boreham Wood have long had a partnership with these three teams and played both Arsenal and Barnet in pre-season, and they hope that local supporters will make the Wood their Non-League team of choice.

This summer also saw the Wood extend their contract with Arsenal for a further 10-years, as Meadow Park will continue to stage home matches of Arsenal Youth Development and Arsenal Ladies.

Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis opened Boreham Wood’s new Premier League standard, million pound Desso pitch and surrounding features in July.

The Wood will also be running a FREE community coaching session prior to the match, for children aged 5-to-12-years-old. The coaching session will run between 1-2pm prior to Saturday’s match at home to FC Halifax Town, and all children participating will receive a FREE ticket to the match. Their parent, or guardian, will also receive £10 entry.

Registration for the sessions starts at 12.30 and will be run by the club’s famous PASE Academy coaching staff.

The club believe that this will be an excellent opportunity to bring together the fans of all four clubs, and allow the children to sharpen their footballing skills.

The coaching will take place on the Wood’s brand-new 5G Astro turf, meaning that the children will be training on the same pitch as their favourite Boreham Wood stars.

Whether it be Marquee signing Keiran Murtagh, sharp shooting Paul Benson or our skipper Mark Ricketts, this is their chance to replicate their heroes.

The children will then all be able to watch the Wood for FREE, as they take on Halifax Town in the National League.

If you would like to sign your child up for the courses, then all you need to do is send your child’s name, age, parental contact name, contact number, address and email address to bwfc.communitydep@hotmail.com or call our community department on 020 8953 5097.
