LET’S GET FIT TOGETHER

We will be running a FREE Fitness session this Wednesday, July 11 at 9.30am, for boys and girls between the ages of 16-19-years-old.

The session is to offer people a taster of our brand new BW PASE Fitness and Wellbeing Scheme, which was launched in May, as our famous PASE Academy looks to expand and cater for as many people as possible.

The group session is aimed at anyone interested in fitness and education, and will be run by our professionally trained and qualified Personal Trainers.

You do not need to be the fittest, the strongest, or the best to join in, you simple need a ‘can-do’ attitude (and some black sports gear!). The sessions are accessible to all and will be tailored to meet your individual needs on the day.

The scheme offers personal training, nutritional advice, group fitness sessions, education, psychology workshops, sports massage and rehabilitation and much, much more.

The new and innovative programme will see all students enjoy a vast array of academic courses to choose from, while improving both their mental and physical health, through the benefits listed below.

Education

Boreham Wood offer an extremely diverse array of academic courses, with over 630 students taken on in our Sports and Education Academy this year.

We offer a wide range of tailor-made courses that provide our students with an educational programme that marries up to their training programme. These courses include BTEC, CYQ, Construction and A-levels.

Whether you want to study alternative courses such as Art, Business, Media and ICT, or gain your BTEC in Sports Science, we have you covered.

Personal training

No more paying £30-an-hour! Our first-class personal trainers are on hand to offer you one-to-one training, tailored to your specific needs. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, or just feel better about yourself; our classes will all be customized to you. They will take place on our state-of-the-art astro turf and in our fully equipped gym.

Fitness Sessions

As well as having your own personal trainer, we will be running a variety of regular fitness classes. This will include High Intensity Interval Training (Hiit); as made famous by Joe Wicks; CrossFit, Circuits, Function Training and Yoga.

Weight and shape management

Fitness and wellbeing isn’t just about lifting weights and having rock hard abs, it is about eating right, looking how you personally want to look and improving your self-confidence. Our aim is to help you improve how you feel about yourself, by assisting you towards the body that you want, with a better diet and a healthier mind.

Food prep classes

Here at Meadow Park, we have a team of highly skilled caterers, who cook for not just our first team, but the Arsenal Women’s and development sides. They will provide you with healthy meal plans and cooking classes, so that you have a diet to suit your training programme.

Discounted healthy meals

We will also provide you with heathy meals during the day at a hugely discounted price, so that you make sure that your body gets the correct nutrition during the day, to maximise your training.

Psychology workshops

Fitness and wellbeing is about your mind, not just your physical appearance. We will run regular phycology workshops, with high-class and fully trained speakers, who will help you to a healthier mind.

Physiotherapy and Sports Massage

If you suffer an injury, we have a fully-trained department of Sports Therapists to facilitate in your rehabilitation, with recovery sessions and sports massage, so that you can return to sport at your maximum. We treat both acute and chronic injuries, sports or otherwise, including chronic back pain, ACL, groin injuries and ankle weakness.

Free Boreham Wood season ticket

We want every one of our students to feel like they are part of the fabric of this club, because you really are. This season we went within a whisker of the Football League, narrowly losing 2-1 to Tranmere Rovers at Wembley Stadium. We want all of our students to be a part of this journey. As such, we will provide you with a free season ticket for all of our home league games.
