BREAKING FA CUP TICKET NEWS

9 November 2021

Just a very quick update for both Home and Away supporters in regards to our much anticipated FA Cup tie that pits us against our good friends from St Albans City.

1. We cannot put tickets on sale at this point until we know if we are going to be selected for TV – those chosen TV games are not known yet but will be spread from Friday, 3rd December to Sunday 6th December. We do though anticipate knowing all match and TV details by Friday, 12th November and will revert back to all fans at that point or even sooner if possible.

2. The game itself will be a strictly pre purchased ticket game and no tickets will be on sale on the day of the match.

3. Capacity for this Second Round FA Cup game will be set at 3,500 and full segregation will be in operation.

4. 1,000 away tickets will be made available to St Albans City fans and that will include around 400 seats. These tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis and we will liaise with our friends from St Albans City on all things to ensure the away supporters are looked after and catered for correctly during their brief stay with us.

5. Away fans are advised to park in either the Brook Road car park, adjacent to the away supporter entry into the LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park, or if that is full then they can use the Hertsmere Borough Council car park which is just a short 5-minute stroll from the ground.

6. Unfortunately, our club bar is not of sufficient size to house both home and away supporters and as such BWFC do operate a strict home supporters bar only policy. We advise all away supporters that there are three pubs/bars in the Shenley Road high street to use if they so choose on the day or night of the game.

7. Our FA Cup 2nd Round Proper ticket pricing will be set shortly when the stewarding and safety plans and costs are better known to everyone but, at present, we do expect that normal BWFC league prices will be adopted.

Finally, we hope everyone in both North and South Hertfordshire, is as excited as all the players and staff of our two competing non-league football clubs. For both to still be involved in the FA Cup at this stage is fantastic and it’s incredible to think that Hertfordshire’s two biggest non-league clubs will now battle it out to see who will represent our County in the next round and a possible trip to one of the Premier League’s big boys.

So, let’s enjoy our 15 minutes of fame, let’s enjoy the fanfare and build up and in the name of friendship and community spirit let’s embrace an extraordinary FA Cup Hertfordshire Derby because for one of these great non-league football clubs Christmas really is about to come early.

So, buy your tickets early once on sale and we’ll see you soon.

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
